The program equipped Sanjay with the knowledge and skill principles in the working areas of food preparation, food and beverage, front office operation, and housekeeping including managerial inputs in operating a food business.
Sanjay migrated to Germany in 1990 and worked as a cook in various hotels and restaurants. He just loves cooking and sharing good food is his way of expression. His vision was to let people sample food from his birthplace and the culture of India.
The passion of Sanjay to serve authentic Indian food was so intense which led him to venture into the food business with his own “Agni Restaurant.” Agni is a Sanskrit term that means a digestive fire that breaks down the food in the body absorbing only what is useful and discarding the rest. People just loved the food, from a modest startup with five tables located in Berlin Moabit, Agni has branched off to Berlin Prenzlauerberg.
Sink your teeth in authentic Indian food and find out why patrons are coming back for more. You’ll love Tandoori chicken, barbecue chicken, that is marinated with yogurt and fresh from the oven when placed on your table. Lamb has never tasted so good with Rogan Josh. Spices such as cardamom, cumin, turmeric, garam masala, and dry red chilies set up the flavor nicely, and to tone down the heat of the dish, the cream is added at the end. Vegetarians will relish Malai Kofta, vegetarian meatballs, in a thick sauce.
Agni has food for everyone. Vegetables are fresh, meat is tender, and everything goes under the watchful eyes of Chef Sanjay. Joy starts with the first bite and happiness lasts up to the final bite.
